Free Download Movie Avatar The Legend Of Aang! The one thing I love about moving into Los Angeles is the number of revival houses and single screen movie theaters you can still visit. I'm not speaking about your multiplexes that are playing the most recent Hollywood blockbusters, I'm referring to those historic movie theaters that play the classic movies we loved watching whenever we were becoming an adult. Many of these films we first watched in the media or rented them on VHS from our local video stores (back when they existed), but we never reached see them for the big screen where they belonged. But because of places like New Beverly Cinema, the Egyptian Theatre and Grauman's Chinese among other movie theatres, we finally get to see them the way they were can be seen.
Now I know many people who these days would prefer to curl up around the sofa and observe movies at home, however, these cult movies have to be seen about the big screen in case you are ever in Los Angeles.
"The Rocky Horror Picture Show"
This musical comedy horror cult classic which stars Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick along with the great Tim Curry like a "sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania" is the longest-running midnight movie of all time. Thirty-eight years after "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" came out, it is still playing in limited release and midnight screenings keep happening all over America. However, have not lived until you have seen this movie at the Nuart Theatre in Santa Monica where audience members can wear their cartoon characters and talk returning to the screen in a way they couldn't if this type of were any other movie. Fans on the Nuart go for treated with a live performance from Sins O' The Flesh, a gaggle of actors that perform along with the movie every Saturday night. You can always rely on having a most fantastic time whenever you watch this movie with the Nuart!
"The Room"
The 2003 romantic drama that was written, produced, directed and stars Tommy "YOU'RE TEARING ME APART LISA!" Wiseau has been called one of several worst films available, and also the fans still can't get enough of it. "The Room" continues to sell out midnight screenings with the Regent Theatre in Los Angeles, and you are able to always rely on Wiseau being there to perform a Q&A session while using fans. The movie was obviously a box office disappointment, nonetheless it has since garnered one of several biggest and strangest cult followings from a movie ever made because of the main character's unapologetically calm attitude. Screenings of "The Big Lebowski" is available at various Los Angeles movie theatres, though the real treat for fans happens when the Lebowski Fest comes to town. What "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" is to the Nuart Theatre, "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" has quickly become to New Beverly Cinema. The still standing Los Angeles repertory revival house was the first one to show Edgar Wright's film after the end of their theatrical run, possesses since adopted a permanent midnight residence alongside "Reservoir Dogs" and "Pulp Fiction." Wright, who's hosted several movie programs at the New Beverly, arises at "Scott Pilgrim" screenings to reply to questions through the audience, and that he has brought along with him several in the film's stars including Michael Cera. Recently, Mary Elizabeth Winstead who played Ramona, the girl of Scott Pilgrim's dreams, came through the New Beverly introducing it towards the excited audience there. "Big Trouble in Little China"
Every Los Angeles screening I have observed of John Carpenter's fighting styles comedy has always triggered a soldout audience. Thanks to home video, "Big Trouble in Little China" gained a massive cult following, and audiences adore it today in ways that you wished they did back when it first became available. It's this kind of kick to observe this film having an audience because they are in hysterics over Kurt Russell delivering his dialogue by having an unapologetic John Wayne swagger, so we have long since accepted the fact his character of Jack Burton is much more of a blowhard when compared to a hero. It doesn't matter how many times you have experienced this movie; "Big Trouble in Little China" remains a blast to view through.
